The Inspiration Behind Roi brunch:
Roi Brunch, which opened during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, utilized various marketing strategies to promote itself, such as distributing flyers and partnering with food delivery platforms. They also offered generous promotions like buy-one-get-one-free deals, successfully increasing brand awareness.
The owner originally worked in bicycle development but encountered some challenges, leading him to take a year off to explore his future direction. During this time, he discovered a strong interest in the food and beverage industry and ultimately decided to open his own restaurant. Additionally, the brunch model suited his lifestyle well, and thus, Roi Brunch was born!
Tucked away in the alleys of the Tunghai commercial district, this shop not only survived the toughest times during the pandemic but has also become one of the most beloved brunch spots for students.
The interior is clean and cozy (see the image below), filled with various Korean-style elements, thanks to the fact that the owner is Korean! Here's a little story about Roi Brunch: the adorable little boy in the logo (see the images above and to the right) was designed based on the owner's son, and the name 'Roi' is directly inspired by his name! The owner hopes to create a warm and comfortable dining environment by offering high-quality service and dishes. The menu is frequently updated, ensuring that regular customers have a fresh experience every time they visit. What's even more impressive is that the owner remembers the usual orders of regular customers! Isn't that amazing?
Specialty Dishes and Hidden Gems:Not only are these dishes developed by the owner himself, but they are also favorites among many students. These include: melon seed pork, golden radish cake, spicy stir-fried radish cake, pizza dumplings, and mushroom egg rolls.
Especially the spicy stir-fried radish cake (left image), which includes enoki mushrooms and cabbage, and features a savory satay flavor with a hint of spice. It often makes first-time customers become regulars
The golden radish cake (right image) is perfect for those who prefer non-spicy dishes and enjoy bacon and cheese! Additionally, the radish cakes are stacked and pan-fried to a crispy texture, making even a simple radish cake feel unique.
Here’s a special insider tip: the owner's secret favorite dish is melon seed pork rice with hot sauce. However, since the hot sauce needs to be refrigerated, it’s not provided for customers to add themselves. But if you'd like to try this delicious dish, just make a note when placing your order!
Future Plans：
Currently, Roi Brunch focuses on serving customers living near the Tunghai commercial district, emphasizing quality control and staff training. Only after these foundations are solid will they consider future expansion plans. At the end of this year, Roi Brunch will have new plans, and next year, everyone will see a refreshed Roi Brunch!
